I know this picture is horrendous, but it’s from last night’s drive home - crossing over the Golden Gate for the first time. Been waiting for that for a long, long time.

2011: In Review.

Well, it’s been a year! One of the best of my life, to be exact.

January - Ringing in the New Year at The Coat of Arms!

February - Chromeo in Boston!

March - Puerto Rico with my sister!

April - Lots of fires, friends, grilling, & fun.

May - Two years of togetherness :) And moving out of our first apartment together to start saving money!

June - Colby’s breakfast. All summer long.

July - Chris got a scooter & we went on fun rides.

August - I sold the car I drove for the previous 8 years and bought a brand new one!

September - We (mostly Chris) cooked for his nana’s wedding in the Cape!

October - We embarked on our amazing journey and moved all the way across the country to pursue our dreams.

November - We moved into our new house in Napa!

December - That brings us to today, and well here’s a picture of us yesterday, on our third Christmas together, and our first one here in our new home.

I’m so proud of us and so thankful for this absolutely amazing year we’ve had. Here’s to a just-as-amazing 2012!

This was a post of mine from almost exactly 3 years ago…one of my first Tumblr posts actually. A photo taken from my room in my dad’s house where I lived at the time…the snowy streets of downtown Portsmouth. It’s crazy to think how much I’ve done since this time. I moved into an apartment with two of my friends, started dating Chris Hayes, graduated from college, got my first non-seasonal job, got an apartment with Chris, best-friended Kina, visited California with Chris twice, went skiing in Utah, went to Mexico, went to France, moved into my mom’s house to save up money, moved across the country. Life is crazy. It goes so slow but so fast at the same time. I may be having sort of a difficult time adjusting to living out here, but I am so so happy with where I’m at in life right now. I love my boyfriend incomprehensible amounts, I love that we’re living in California like we’ve seriously been talking about for six or seven years (not exaggerating, and no we weren’t even dating then but we were friends and both just wanted to move to CA and we talked about it all the time and now we’re freaking here. Together. And it’s awesome. I’ll never get over that.), and I love that we are doing something that’s great for ourselves and challenging ourselves and learning a lot and experiencing a lot. I’m happy.
