This was one of my favorite drives. Big ol mountains right next to the sea. Sometimes so close to it that you have to drive through a tunnel in the mountain to stay on the road.

Also…Fergburger. I love Fergburger. Fergburger is in Queenstown. Fergburger has the most massive (like seriously, HUGE), weirdest (lamb burger? deer burger? falafel burger?), most amazingly delicious burgers ever in creation. I want one right now. Fergburger.

I went here and did this. Except we weren’t in a big boat…we were all in our own inner tubes. HOW WAS I NOT SCARED OUT OF MY MIND OF SEA CREATURES IN THE DARK WATERS!??!! I remember being pretty scared cause the guides picked on me and made me jump first into the darkness multiple times because they knew I was freaked out…but, if someone asked me to do this now, I would make so many scared faces and hesitate so much and be the most creeped out…but in the end it’s worth it because LOOK HOW SWEET THE GLOW WORMS ARE! But still…the sea creatures…ahhh. Even on their sign, there was a picture of an eel in the water. No no no no no.

This is a photo my friend (who still lives there) posted on facebook of my home back in NZ, Ilam Village. I think it’s the 4th building down on the left in this photo that I lived in. Good old Flat 69.

Ok and now obviously I have to post a bunch of my own pictures from Castle Hill since whenever I see something on Tumblr from somewhere in NZ that I’ve been, this is what I do. I JUST GET EXCITED cause it’s the best plaaaaaaaaaaaace.
